Lynda Joanne Walter

Lynda Joanne Walter, 72, Tonganoxie, KS, passed away April 29, 2024, at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

Funeral service will be 11am Friday May 3, 2024, at the First Baptist Church of McLouth. The family will receive friends for 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery, Basehor, KS.

Lynda was born April 9, 1952, in Kansas City, KS, the daughter of Otis and Eleanor (Laughery) Catron. She worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for many years as well as many other roles in the Healthcare field. She was the Director of Human Resources for Presbyterian Manor,

Lawrence, KS, and she was instrumental in the opening of Vintage Park in Tonganoxie. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, McLouth, KS.

Survivors include her husband, Greg Walter, of the home; one son, Greg (Kelly) Walter, Leavenworth, KS; two daughters, Tracey (David) Turner, McLouth, KS, Stacey Walter, Tonganoxie; two sisters, Norma Chester, Lebanon, MO, Tamra Chaney, Leavenworth, KS; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
