Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies got back to winning ways with a 6-0 thrashing of First Touch Academy in the Hollywoodbets Super League this past weekend.

Captain Zanele Nhlapo scored a brace while Bambanani Mbane, Hlogi Mashigo and Khunjulwa Mali were also on the score sheet to keep Sundowns at the top of the log with 28 points from 11 matches. The sixth goal was an own goal from the visitors, as they dropped to 11th place on the table with 13 points from 12 matches.

University of Johannesburg (UJ) kept up with the defending champions and maintained second place on the log after their 3-0 win over TUT Matsatsantsa in Soweto. Ayesha Moosa was on the score sheet once more, with Thato Mofolo getting brace, as they made it 28 points, however having played one game more than the current leaders. Matsatsantsa Ladies dropped to ninth position with 15 points in 11 games.

Elsewhere University of Western Cape (UWC) scored big a second week in a row, putting seven past troubled Thunderbirds Ladies without a reply in East London. A hat-trick from Philisa Mbamjane, Sibulele Holweni‘s brace and goals from Khanya Xesi and Noxolo Cesane ensured that the Blues stayed in third place on the standings with 26 points from 11 outings. Thunderbirds remained at the basement of the table with just a single point from 12 matches.
