Harvard Book Store, the Harvard University Division of Science, and the Harvard Library welcome Sean Carroll —host of the Mindscape podcast, and author of From Eternity to HereThe Particle at the End of the UniverseThe Big PictureSomething Deeply Hidden, and The Biggest Ideas in the Universe—for a discussion of the second book in his Biggest Ideas in the Universe series, Quanta and Fields. Following the presentation in John Knowles Paine Concert Hall, there will be a reception and book signing down the street in the Physics Library in Jefferson 450 located at 17 Oxford Street, Cambridge.

Ticketing There are two ticket options available for this event. Free General Admission Ticket: Includes admission for one. Book-Included Ticket: Includes admission for one and one hardcover copy of Quanta and Fields.

Speaker Bio

Sean Carroll is the Homewood Professor of Natural Philosophy at Johns Hopkins University, and Fractal Faculty at the Santa Fe Institute. He is host of Mindscape podcast, and author of From Eternity to HereThe Particle at the End of the UniverseThe Big Picture, and Something Deeply Hidden. He has been awarded prizes and fellowships by the National Science Foundation, NASA, the American Institute of Physics, the Royal Society of London, and many others.
