High school girls lacrosse: Kingston’s edges Warwick in overtime; Saugerties wins

WARWICK — Brooke Longo scored in overtime to give Kingston High’s girls lacrosse team to a 10-9 overtime victory over Warwick on Thursday.

Alex Coffey came up with a big loose ball clear to give Kingston possession to set up Longo’s score.

Brooke Longo scored three goals, and Reese Longo and Chayse DeLisio contrbuted two goals each. Lily Zito, Ava Perconti and Alivia Gambino had one each for the Tigers.

DeLisio and Brooke Longo had two assists.

Danica Louie made 16 saves for the Tigers.

Kiera Mangels led Warwick with three goals.

Lily Mahoney made seven saves for Warwick.

The Tigers have a match at Wallkill on Tuesday, May 14, at 5:30 p.m.

Saugerties 12, Wallkill 5

At Saugerties, Lia MacDougall scored four goals and had one assist and Addison Costello scored twice and dished out four assists for the host Sawyers.

Other Saugerties goals were scored by Viola Myers, Helene Kerr, Sonia Tchuinte, Quinn Schalbach, Sage Sasso and Grace McHugh.

Emma Dilemme led the visiting Panthers with four goals. Jessica Avila added one goal for Wallkill.

Neveah Jackson made eight saves for the Panthers.

Saugerties hosts Red Hook on Monday, April 13, at 4 p.m. Wallkill has a home match against Newburgh Free Academy on Saturday, May 11, at 11 a.m.
