Eternal Affairs - Part 2

When I drank from the river I felt a sensation wash over me, along with my wounds healing; I felt as if I had all the information in my head that I needed at the time. I could tell that I could no longer die, and with that I could feel that I didn’t need to sleep or eat anymore. Knowing I couldn’t die I was no longer afraid of the forest. I had decided, we would continue through the forest to try and find a new village. When I grabbed the horse information flooded through my head once again, in that second I had just learned to ride a horse. I also heard a name in my head “Alex”, it seemed like it was the horses name and if it wasn’t it sure is now. I could also tell the horse was in the same situation as me; he couldn’t die either, but as long as we had each other, right? As we went through the forest all of the growls and snarls that we could hear previously were gone. I rode the horse north for about two weeks without stopping, Alex seemed to had been given infinite stamina from the river. After riding around for 13 days we came across a road. After I touched the road I could tell which direction led to a village. We headed north for another three days before reaching the village. It wasn’t easy to get in, the guards said they wouldn’t let me in since I had no clothes. I asked if I could feel one of their clothes, they were confused but agreed. When I touched the man’s shirt I could immediately tell how it was made and with what it was made of. I left to find cotton to make some clothes. I had saw some a while ago in the forest but had no idea what it was, so we went back to get some. It took me a few months since I’d never made anything before but I made a decent shirt and loincloth. Going back to the village, I was allowed to enter this time. I’ve been living in this village now for about 32 years and I’ve been doing multiple jobs at a time, currently I’m running an inn and do the cooking, the cleaning, and I made everything in the building including the beds, sheets, paintings, tables, even the plumbing systems. I’m now praised as some type of deity since I don’t age, which is pretty good for business. Alex is all seen as a deity, which I think we both are thankful for since I don’t have to constantly take care of him forever and he gets all the attention he could want.
