DC have dropped David Warner from their last league game in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 against LSG on Tuesday, May 14 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. Warner has been in and out of the team quite a few times throughout the season. He hasn’t been in the greatest of formats either, having scored 168 runs from 8 games at an average of 21 and a strike-rate of 134.40.
In place of Warner, DC roped in Afghanistan all-rounder Gulbadin Naib, who has the reputation of striking the ball a long distance. Rishabh Pant, their skipper, also returned in place of Kumar Kushagra. Pant returned after serving a one-match ban due to a slow over rate.

The Capitals still have a chance of making their way through to the playoffs as they can go up to 14 points. But their net run rate of -0.482 is a big concern for them. DC will go into the game after losing to RCB by 47 runs in their previous game at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
For the Super Giants, Yudhvir Singh Charak and Arshad Khan returned. LSG have a great chance of sneaking into the playoffs as they have 2 matches left in the league stage. KL Rahul’s men lost to Pat Cummins’ SRH by 10 wickets in their previous game at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
