Becky Lynch is only weeks away from becoming a free agent as her contract is reportedly close to expiring.

In an interview in March, Becky Lynch revealed her contract was set to expire in May. At the time, The Man said there had been no talk of renewal. When asked if she was interested in a new contract, Lynch was cryptic, saying “we’ll see,” although she doubted WrestleMania 40 would be her last time on the Grandest Stage Of Them All.

In the time since then, Lynch’s husband, Seth Rollins, has signed a new deal with WWE which is said to be for “big money” and will see The Visionary remain in the company “into his 40s.” The news has led many to speculate that Lynch will also remain in the promotion, and now there has been an update on her status.

According to Fightful Select, Lynch is still on her previous contract, although there are ongoing talks for a new deal. Unless a new agreement is reached, however, Lynch will become a free agent in “roughly three weeks.”

Lynch has been with WWE since 2013 when she signed a developmental deal and joined the NXT roster. In the decade since, she has become one of the most popular stars in the company.

She is an eight-time Women’s Champion as well as a Royal Rumble winner and was part of the first women’s match to main event WrestleMania when she took on Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey in a Triple Threat match for the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Titles at the 35th edition of the annual spectacular in 2019.

Currently the reigning Women’s World Champion, Lynch is set to defend her title against Liv Morgan at WWE King & Queen of the Ring on May 25th.
