is the 5th French department for obesity,” says this native of Bagnols-sur-Cèze. This thirty-year-old, who suffered from obesity as a teenager, came out with one idea: to help others. Holder of university degrees in nutrition, he created Amezian. With his team including doctors and nurses, he helped 3,000 people with hormonal disorders lose weight in five years.

He manages around twenty employees and is in the process of recruiting. But no frenzy or nervousness. Hassan Amezian’s gaze is gentle, benevolent. The calm, calm voice. Curly hair, square shoulders, a quiet strength emerges from this native of Bagnols-sur-Cèze. It’s hard to imagine that this thirty-year-old’s school career was “littered with insults”. “I had a personal problem with obesity, I suffered enormously at that time”, confides this son of a couple of traders. At 13 years old, he weighed 117 kilos.

Infernal spiral of diets

He tries to deprive himself of food, falls into the “infernal spiral” of diets and finds himself with eating disorders and nighttime cravings. How to get out of it? He researches and is interested in hormonal mechanisms. He is convinced: the body is like a watch, you just need to find the right cogs to control weight gain. In high school, he managed to lose 37 kilos. The first ten disappear in three to four months. Without drastic deprivation, simply by adapting your diet. He opts for eggs with olive oil for breakfast before opting for the white cheese formula…
