Supertramp was an English rock band formed in London in 1969. Though their music was initially categorised as progressive rock, they later incorporated a combination of pop and art rock into their music. The band's work is marked by the songwriting of founders Rick Davies and Roger Hodgson and the prominent use of Wurlitzer piano and saxophone. However, this collaboration only lasted until 1983. Still, Rick Davies continued to make albums under the name Supertramp until 2002.

What is your favorite song from the album Free As A Bird?

I absolutely love the album as a whole and think that all the songs fit the album really well. My favorite is "I'm beggin you", John's sax outro is soooo smooth and catchy I just love it. What is your favorite song from the album?

I didn't think I would ever find another Free As A Bird enjoyer! Jokes aside, I would say You Never Can Tell With Friends, the intro to that feels like it fits the album the most. An Awful Thing to Waste is a close second, it's a classic energetic, long Rick song up there with Cannonball and Another Man's Woman (in my opinion)

Yeah not a lot really cared for FAAB, to be honest when I first found FAAB I really didn't like it. At that point I was a supertramp purist where I only listened to the stuff that the whole band was part of. Then when I ran out of supertramp albums to listen to I tried FAAB out again and listened to it 10 more times and wow Rick Davies can write music. Thanks for the comment

That's a pretty tough choice to make, I'd have to say "Where I Stand" would be my favorite at the moment.

Oh yes, "where I stand" is such a good song. Tell me about it I can't really choose a favorite on that album they are all really good. But a Close second for me is "Thing for you". Thanks for the comment

The title track is my personal favorite. Number 1 song on my Spotify wrapped last year. I also have been enjoying It's Alright lately.

"It's alright" is a song I can't not tap my foot too. Its so catchy and smooth, also the piano intro is sweet. Thanks for the comment.

"An Awful Thing To Waste" is the only song I really go back for on this album. But seeing this posting, I'm gonna go back and listen to the whole thing in order! 😁

Love this song from beginning to end with the phenomenal guitar solo reminiscent to Roger’s closing on Goodbye Stranger 🎸

I love 4/9 of Free As A Bird's songs: it's alright, Free As A Bird, I'm Begging you, A awful thing to waste.

I'm Beggin You FTW!!!! The live version of Not the Moment bums me out about the studio cut....not enough Wurlitzer in the mix!
