Yup, the only time I remember her being in the basement is when she finds the blond wig strand by the fort. I’m guessing the laundry room’s down there too, so she’d be in there more frequently.
This line gets me every time I watch it too. I always remember my DIL (then oldest son’s gf) complaining that our other sitting room “stank of teenage boys” not surprising seeing as younger son and his friends had been in there playing games for a while before. As a Mom of boys I can smell the Wheeler’s basement 🤣

This scene is in season 4 episode 4 when she wants to go to Billy's grave. Steve doesn't want her to go but she refused to stay because it's possibly her last day on earth and spending it in the armpit that is mike wheelers basement isn't how she wants to spend it
