Trey Meyers and Alex Clark each homered to lead the Trevians to their 20th straight victory on Friday, May 10.

Noah Shapo struck out 7 and picked up the win for New Trier (23-3).

Downers Grove South 8, Loyola 7

The Ramblers dropped a close one on Friday, May 10, to fall to 15-14.

Highland Park 7, Niles West 3

Charlie Cohen had two hits and knocked in three for the Giants on Wednesday, May 8.

Luke Weber struck out seven in the complete-game victory for Highland Park.

Loyola 3, DePaul 0

The Ramblers earned the shutout victory on Monday, May 6, in Chicago.

New Trier 10, Niles North 0

Trey Meyers doubled, tripled and knocked in four runs for the Trevians on Saturday, May 4.

James Novakovic chipped in three hits as New Trier won its 18th straight game.

New Trier 12, Notre Dame 2

Evan Olesker socked a three-run homer and Justin Wood picked up the win for the Trevians on Friday, May 3.

Sam Nigro, Trey Meyers and Declan Spinner knocked in two runs apiece for New Trier (20-3).

Glenbrook North 11, New Trier 7

The Trevians could not keep up with the Spartans on Wednesday, May 8.

Loyola 7, Maine South 4

Hunter Lewis struck out 14 Hawks and also hit a home run to lead the Ramblers on Wednesday, May 8.

Lincoln-Way Central 8, Loyola 0

The Knights took care of the visiting Ramblers on Monday, May 6, in New Lenox.

New Trier 3, Fremd 0

Josie Noble tallied two goals — one on a penalty kick — to give the Trevians the senior-night victory on Friday, May 10, in Northfield.

Basie Shannon scored the other goal off an assist from Sybil Evans for New Trier.

Regina 2, Trinity 2

Eve Nathaus and Kate Ludden scored as the Panthers earned a draw on Thursday, May 9.

Regina 3, Lake Forest Academy 0

Kate Ludden scored twice and Caroline Sullivan once for the Panthers on Wednesday, May 8.

New Trier 2, Vernon Hills 0 (postponed)

Sybil Evans and Josie Noble scored in a weather-shortened league crossover match on Tuesday, May 7.

BOYS VOLLEYBALL
New Trier 25-25, Evanston 17-19

The Trevians swept their rivals on Wednesday, May 8, in Winnetka.

Loyola 25-25, St. Rita 10-13

Jack Lopez tallied 6 kills, 3 blocks and 3 aces to lead the Ramblers (25-2) to the league win on Tuesday, May 7.

New Trier 25-20-28, Maine South 18-25-26

The Trevians outlasted their league foe on Monday, May 6, in Winnetka.

GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD
IHSA 3A Deerfield Sectional

Gaby Manzano won sectional titles in the long jump, triple jump and 400-meter run for New Trier on Wednesday, May 8. Manzano — with Emilia Smith, Carly McConnell and Anna Rivera — also helped the 1,600 relay place second and qualify for state.

Other Trevians to quality for state were: Smith in the 100 (first, 12.68 seconds); Rivera in the 800 (fifth, 2:19.68); Josie Cahill in the 1,600 (third, 5:09.9) and 3,200 (first, 10:52.83); McConnell in the 300 hurdles (fourth, 45.95); Smith, Tessa Glueck, Maria Howie and Marley Meyers in the 800 relay (third, 1:45.22); and Eva Scarborough, Sadie Abbott, Kayla Ritchie and Rivera in the 3,200 relay (fourth, 9:38.72).

Jane Lynch, of Loyola Academy, placed second in the 3,200 to qualify for state with a time of 10:55.07. Liselle Curry, Kathryn San Roman, Ali Banaszek and Casey Loder qualified in the 1,600 relay, placing third with a time of 4:04.2, and Ashley Banaszk qualified in the triple jump, placing fourth at 11.04 meters.

Grace Welhouse won the 100 hurdles for Highland Park in a time of 15.56 and will compete at state.

IHSA 2A Carmel Sectional

Nora McCabe, Chole Thiel, Olivia Mauer and Charlotte Knoll of Regina Dominican ran the 1,600 relay in a state-qualifying time of 10:13.51 to finish second.

BOYS TRACK AND FIELD
CSL South Championships

Tucker Anglemyer won the 400-meter run (49.14 seconds) and also helped the 400 and 1,600 relays win league titles, leading New Trier to a team championship on Friday, May 10, at Glenbrook North.

Ben Crane added a victory in the 1,600 (4 minutes, 20.3 seconds) and joined Kyle Fix, Walter Garrett and Evan Shu in the victorious 3,200 relay. Felix Hekster and Joey Papanicholas finished 1-2 in the 3,200 run for the Trevians.

CSL North Championships

Russ Czerwinski won league titles in the high jump (1.9 meters) and triple jump (13.45) for Highland Park, while also joining Lukaas Nales, Zach Coren and Robert Oboza in the winning 1,600 relay (3:26.88) as the Giants finished second on Friday, May 10, at Maine West.

Nales also finished first in the 400 and Doug Anderson was second for the Giants.

GIRLS LACROSSE
Highland Park 9, Regina 8

The Giants picked up the victory on Friday, May 10.

Regina 11, Providence 9

Maggie Bramblet recorded six goals to lead the Panthers to the nonconference win on Saturday, May 4.
