She was predeceased by : her parents, George Harris and Mamie Harris; her grandmother Mable Harris; and her daughter Esther Bryant-Kyles (Edwin J. Kyles, Jr.). She is survived by : her siblings, Irene Griggs of St. Louis, MO, Patricia Green of Seattle, WA and George Harris, Jr. of St. Louis, MO; her son Paul A. Lowe, Jr.; and her granddaughters, Ashton and Ariana Lowe.

A celebration of life was held on Monday, May 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the First African Methodist Episcopal Church (1522 14th Ave, Seattle, WA 98112).

She was recognized for her contributions to President Obama's election by being selected to be a special delegate to the 2008 Democratic National Convention in Denver, Colorado, and attendee at the 2009 Inauguration of President Barack Obama.
