Rare TVR T350 C 4.0 Sports Car Hits the Auction Block

Despite being 20 years old, the TVR T350 C 4.0 still catches the eye with its unique design

TVR is a British sports car manufacturer, and although it is smaller than other British automobile manufacturers, it is a company that shows outstanding capabilities in terms of performance. Recently, a vehicle with a unique design produced by TVR became a hot topic when it was put up for auction.

TVR T350 C 4.0 produced in 2002 was originally manufactured as a display model for the British Motor Show. It has been said that the vehicle was specially made by the chairman of TVR at the time of the motor show, so it has a higher value, and the name of the chairman of TVR has been engraved on the inside of the vehicle.

High-Tech Style With Elements of a Classic Car

Most TVR models are scarce, but the T350 C 4.0 is even more special because it is one of two 2002 motor show cars commissioned by TVR Chairman Peter Wheeler. It features a high-tech style with a neatly raised low nose, sweeping roofline, and sharply cut rear.

It also featured classic car elements, such as headlights with vents integrated under the body and a round glass tailgate with drilled aluminum hinges. The vehicle was equipped with a 4.0-liter version of the Speed-Six engine, showing performance comparable to that of cars launched today. Specifically, it has generated 350 horsepower and can accelerate from a standstill to 62 mph in just 4.4 seconds.

Side View Similar to the Tamora, and There’s a Luggage Cover

When viewed from the side, the T350 C 4.0 looks similar to another sports car from TVR, the Tamora. However, the rear seemed completely different from the Tamora, with a rear splitter panel open from top to bottom and lights mounted on the twin exhaust outlets. The interior was similar to Tamora’s, but the glass hatch of the T350 C 4.0 provided a large space and there was also a luggage cover, surprising those who were familiar with TVR’s traditional design.

The T350 C 4.0 features several new improvements, including a ceramic-coated exhaust manifold, Sagaris brakes, Tuscan Bilstein S shocks, and Eibach springs. Additionally, the name of TVR’s CEO at the time, Peter Wheeler, is said to be engraved under the interior decoration.

Expected to Sell for Approximately $43,795

In the case of the T350 C 4.0, Tamora’s chassis was used, and a roof was added to the chassis to increase rigidity and create a solid feel. It is said to have a good suspension setup, so it has strong traction and sharp turns.

In addition, it has been equipped with a 5-speed transmission for Tamora and a throttle pedal travel. TVR’s T350 C 4.0 is being sold in the Supercar Fest Sale section of the Iconic Auctioneers auction. According to estimates, it is expected to be sold for about $37,518 to $43,795 in this auction market.
