With leagues around the world nearing their climax, there were pivotal results including Arsenal's 1-0 win over Manchester United which took them above Manchester City in the Premier League table, after City had strolled past Fulham. Real Madrid celebrated their LaLiga coronation with a 4-0 win over Granada, while Barcelona were left celebrating Girona's 2-2 draw against Alaves in the race for second.

Bayer Leverkusen continued their unbeaten streak in all competitions, taking it to a milestone 50 with a comfortable win over VfL Bochum. Over in Italy, Juventus and Bologna earned draws to seal their top four spots and thus qualification to the UEFA Champions League, while Kylian Mbappe's last home game for PSG ended in a 1-3 loss to Toulouse.
