Gardaí investigating incident on Liffey Street

A man aged in his teens was injured. 

A probe is underway after a stabbing on Liffey Street. 

Shortly after 4 o'clock, gaurds from Store Street Station responded to the incident. 

The teen was found with injuries on Jervis Street by Gardaí, and was taken to the Mater Hospital. 

A spokesperson for the Gardaí said his injuries aren't believed to be life threatening:

"Shortly after 4pm on Sunday, 19th May 2024, Gardaí were alerted to an incident on Liffey Street. A male in his late teens  injured during the incident and was found on Jervis Street. He was transported by ambulance to the Mater Hospital, his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

"The scene was examined by local scene of crime officers and Jervis Street has since fully reopened to traffic"

"Anyone with information is asked to contact Store Street Garda Station at 01 666 8000 or the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111," they added.

An examination took place at the scene, and Gardaí have asked any witnesses to contact them.
