Neighbourhood: Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.

This is well worth going to see. Our daughter had been before in September on a weeks theatre tour from school. This show she found amazing and wanted to go again. She is 13 and did warn us about the language as our youngest is 8. However, after taking advice from school we all went and loved it. It really is good, has opened all our eyes to autism and can say it made us laugh, cry and think. Amazing.

I was curious how they could turn a book into a play, when I got there, the stage was a cube, quite simple. Yet, when it starts at 7:30, the acts and choreographic moves of the performers were fabulous and it's quite interesting to see how the stage transforms into the various story scenes.

Loved this from start to finish. The guy playing the lead was fantastic. His stage presence and performance was outstanding. I can relate to this production as I have family members with autism. Only criticism is that it's so hot in the theatre.

This was a truly amazing show. Main actor is extremely talented and really is the whole show. The set is also amazing and continually surprises throughout the show. Only issue is the theatre is very very warm and the play should be shortened. Starts at 7:39 and finishes well after 10

The screenplay is a wonderful adaptation of the book.
The stage set is wonderfully simple with a few props used to transform the locations.
Joseph Ayre plays the demanding lead role with intensity, perfect timing and great delivery.
This is a "must see".

We don't get the opportunity to watch plays often so this was a real treat and what an amazing experience
It's amazing to see such talented actors perform their craft, Joseph Ayer as Christopher was brilliant, the set is intriguing and the Gielgud theatre is such a beautiful cozy setting
If you are looking for a west end show to watch this is a must!

This was exceptionally good. Deeply poignant about how we perceive people that don't fit our stereotypical norm and how they perceive the world around them. Drawn to the subject and had read other Mark Haddon books. Amazing use of the stage. Smaller theatre. Matinee was not overly busy. Highly recommended

A perfect combination of a good story, immaculate acting, fantastic interpretation by the producer, amazing set!
How does someone have the vision to convert a book like this into a mesmerising stage play? The set, choreography, musical score were incredible, but never detracted from the story or the quality of the acting.
I would recommend it to anyone.

I had enjoyed the book and was very keen to see how the play handled the story. The sets were fantastic, very detailed technically- not anything like what I expected. The acting was great. We were impressed!

Hi! Can anyone tell me the best place to sit in the Gielgud to watch this production? Sometimes the most expensive seats aren't necessarily the best... Many thanks.

We sat at the front 4 rows back and it was a great view. I'd recommend you go to the ticket offices in Trafalgar Square at 09:00 on the day you wish to see this and we got our tickets for £15.00. Good luck and enjoy
