MELC is excited to share that Shabnam Entezar’s proposal for a Persian Business Language Curriculum has won a grant from the Global Business Center, the Jackson School’s Title VI Centers, and the U.S. Department of Education. This innovative curriculum is designed to equip learners and professionals with essential language skills and cultural understanding for success in various business environments. Some modules will be ready for integration into MELC’s intermediate level Persian courses during the 2024-2025 academic year.

With a focus on practical knowledge and cultural immersion, each module blends theoretical learning with interactive activities.  Entezar, an experienced curriculum developer and instructional designer, is confident that these materials will enrich the existing program and can support learners and professionals in diverse business settings where Persian language skills and cultural understanding are valuable. This curriculum will utilize the most effective instructional design methods in the field of linguistics. Additionally, it will engage with language and business experts to incorporate up-to-date and level-appropriate information.

Congratulations to Shabnam and the Program in Persian and Iranian Studies!
