Todd McFarlanes spider-man

Discussion

From what I've seen this is a somewhat unpopular opinion but I genuinely love Todd McFarlanes work on Spider-man. I know the story is somewhat bland but to me its far better than a lot of people make it seem and the way he draws the villians is just awesome. Am I alone in loving this run despite the somewhat basic and predictable stories?

I mean it's a very well selling book that Marvel has reprinted in multiple formats multiple times, so obviously a lot of people like it. It's just objectively not the most well written. McFarlane's art is definitely the draw.
