Nuremberg Toy Fair to expand with more floor space in 2025

Germany's 74-year-old expo, a key stop on the global toy industry calendar, is planning a bigger exhibition footprint to attract companies in the booming infant and lifestyle categories.

Nuremburg International Toy Fair, Europe’s biggest toy industry gathering of the year, is expanding the layout of its 2025 event in order to attract more exhibitors.

Event organizer Spielwarenmesse will use Hall 3C in the Messe Nürnberg venue for the first time, adding almost 10,000 square meters of floor space to its footprint for the event, which is scheduled to run from January 28 to February 1 next year. The plan is to locate exhibitors representing the growing infant and lifestyle products categories in this space.

Another significant change will see manufacturers of school, stationery and creative design products move to Hall 2. Spielwarenmesse shut down its Insights-X stationery and office trade show last year—in order to focus on its core markets—and is now seeing “high demand” from stationery exhibitors wanting to be present at the Toy Fair, says board member Florian Hess.

And lastly, the model railways and model construction category will move closer to the technical, educational and action toys products in Hall 7.

Nuremburg Toy Fair 2025 will be the event’s 74th edition. This year, it attracted roughly 57,000 toy industry professionals from 125 countries, with particularly strong attendance from Germany, Italy and Spain. Other well-represented regions included the US, the UK, mainland China and Australia.
