Sci-Fi Gareth Edwards's Jurassic World Sequel

Jurassic State.
Jurassic State of Mind for the credits song!

This franchise don't stop till we have dinosaurs cloning extinct humans, for their theme park.

But yeah, can we change the thread title, they are way beyond City. :funny:
Or just returning to Isla Nublar Costa Rica origin.
Maybe just Gareth Edward's Jurassic ___?
Jurassic City is the rumored title at the moment.

Jonathan Bailey confirmed on his IG page that he will be in the movie. Even had a print of him on the JP water ride dated 4/9/2024.

I'm gonna guess the film won't be called Jurassic City. My hunch is Edwards is going to want to be more associated with the Spielberg entries than the later ones, and will copy the title format of 'The Lost World'.

Jurassic State of Mind

Get Nas on it
"straight out the prehistoric dungeons of rap"

I took it more as he didn't see himself in it rather than the character. Seems like an odd move from him. He's been a little overexposed lately that I didn't think he'd be the type to turn anything down, much less a huge franchise like this.

Between Top Gun and Twister, he’s probably set on pre-existing franchises
The difference is that by turning down Jurassic he's turning down some secure big franchise paychecks. Who knows when the next Top Gun will be and Twisters getting a follow up movie isn't guaranteed.

He also very recently signed on The Running Man and Heaven Can Wait remakes so I doubt he cares much about not taking over pre-existing material. It seems to me that he either didn't like his role or he didn't like the script in general and he was being polite.

I could totally see the argument for "Giganotosaurus is the Joker" if in the Joker movie after Robert De Niro got shot, he came back to life after a minute and shoved Joaquin Phoenix into a random passerby who was carrying scissors in an unsafe manner, thus accidentally stabbing and killing Joker. :o

Given the relatively inexpensive cast and Edward's ability to ball on a budget, I'm wondering if we're finally starting to return to the mid budget blockbuster for next year and going forward. Seems like Coogler is going a similar route with his next movie as well.

These movies never needed big stars anyway. The dinosaurs will always be the main attraction. All I want is for them to keep utilizing animatronics which shouldn't be too big of an ask since they gradually started using them more and more in Fallen Kingdom and Dominion after barely using any at all in Jurassic World.
