Can anyone tell me what was said to the president in the final scene of Civil War?

Question

They asked him something, he said “don’t let the kill me” then they said something else, but I couldn’t quite understand. Does anyone remember? Thank you!

Edit thank you people below.

Reporter: I need a quote

The reporter said, “that’ll do”

I believe Joel said something along the lines of “yeah, that’ll do” just meaning, yeah sure that works as a final quote in a dismissive way

He just wanted a quote. Didn't matter what it was.

Or something similar.

I also wasn’t able to hear what he said in that moment and I saw it in Dolby Atmos sound.

Glad I’m not the only one, I think it was just mixed a little poorly with how much other noise is going on in the background of the scene

“Gotcha bitch lmao”

“You’ve just been civil wared”. Then Ashton Kutcher came from around the desk with the camera crew.

It's the culmination of what Sammy said, "In the end they'll disappoint you". Sammy was saying that dictators talk big and powerful, but in the end they're pretty feeble.

So the Presidents last words being "Please don't let them kill me" confirms this, confirms nothing about his motives can be gleaned from an interview, and Joel's "That'll do" Is a resignation, that his interview, the reason they made the journey in the first place wouldn't have told anyone anything they didn't already know.

Civil Wars central thesis, is that while conflicts have a broader context, much of which is deeply personal to those fighting, peering from afar it's often just vying for power.
