Questions about the Iranian Hunter Gatherers ( that formed IVC)

Discussion
  1. Were they originally from Iran ? Or Afghanistan ?

2)How did they look like ?

3) What makes them different from AASI ?

4) Why do South Asians show ANE ancestry ? Why do some show BMAC ancestry ?

Yes but that is different from what we are talking about

Iranian Hunter Gatherers came much much after the first humans came out of Africa, these people were genetically and ethnically Iranian

The article is not only concerned with the initial movement out of Africa and talks about the formation of Iran_HG.

Yea but iranian HG looked completely different from AASI and they were genetically different as well

these people were genetically and ethnically Iranian

Iranian Hunter Gatherers have nothing to do with Iranic cultures or Indo Europeans. In the former case, “Iranian” just refers to geography, not culture. The Iranic cultures, that emerged from the Indo-Iranic stage came much later and have essentially nothing to do with the earlier groups.

I think they could've lived in the region between zagros and western himalayas

Look at the phenotype of people with highest IVC component in different places. Then add some archaic features like jaw bone structure difference due to different diet etc. It would be somewhat accurate.

1- Iran and Afghanistan weren’t born yet. It was Iran-N land

2- Harvard showed Iran-N ancestry as roughly 58% Dzudzuana + 22% AG3 + 11% Onge + 10% Mbuti so basically much darker than the light brown present Iranians. Present Iranians have skin lightening ANF and Steppe

3- Zagros Iran-N is 11% Onge not 100%

4-Because Harvard showed 22% AG3 for both Iran-N and CHG. Also S. Asians have later on ancestry from the north

1 - No they are Mexican… ofc they were from Iran.

2 - Phenotypically likely similar to Iran N.

3 - Not sure what this means…

4 - Because they have those ancestries?

🤔

Tbf i think these are Good questions. Did the Anatolian/ Chg enter Indian will the Iranian Farmers or After separately ? Its Interesting for sure. Arguably more than 50% of Indian Dna is West Asian i think
