How to control UTC time and shift it on the AMI Cloud Agent?
Answer Simple answer using bulleted points or numbered steps if needed, with details, link or disclaimers at bottom.
In some user environments, there is a need to manipulate and shift the UTC time for the agent.
There is a parameter in AMI Cloud Agent config file to control the UTC time.
Please find below the parameter details to apply on the agent.yml file.
1. Please go to the agent installation path.2. Please edit the agent configuration file
/usr/model9/lpp/conf/agent.yml
Add the below two parameters in the configuration file.
agent.time_shift.enabled: true agent.time_shift.hours: -9
Note: agent.time_shift.hours can be tweaked accordingly.
3. Create the STDENV override script in the following path under conf directory:
/usr/lpp/model9/conf/stdenv-overrides.sh
Add this line:
IJO="$IJO -javaagent:$PWD/lib/time-transformer-agent-1.2.2.jar"
Now restart the agent.
Once the agent is running verify the STDOUT DD contains the following message:
Applying UTC time shifting by: 0 days, 9 hours"
This completes the procedure for shifting the UTC time for the AMI Cloud Agent.
