Descriptive text here

Already at the age of 7, Lili Francke-Robitaille begged her parents to try her luck as an actress. Her inexhaustible perseverance finally got the better of André Robitaille and Martine Francke, since the young woman, now 20 years old, already has a resume that is only growing longer. appearances in 30 Lives, Mémoires vives, District 31 and Indefensible among others, this time, the actress is preparing to play her most important role in her career.

In an interview, she tells us that she feels at home in the field.

At the age of 15, 14-15, I questioned myself more. Is this really what I want? Or is it because I was biased by growing up in it? I took a step back from all that. With the years that have passed recently, I have allowed myself to explore, to try something else. I realized that this was my place. And that’s what I wanted. Not because of my parents, but for me, who I am.

She will perform this time the role of Charlie, the daughter of Jean Dumas (Gildor Roy) in the series Dumas, a new project by Luc Dionne. In this fiction, which navigates a world of investigations and troubled waters, the complex family life of the main character will be brought to the fore.

I have more responsibilities, so I know the approach is going to be different. This means that I am in a total discovery. I’m still learning, I’m very young, so there’s definitely pressure. But I would tell you that I have really been more excited since the beginning. I have a good feeling, I’m just good, and they’re nice! »

The character of Charlie is the youngest of the siblings and, according to Lili, “ (…) she is strong. She’s the one who has to put up with all the family drama that happens. It falls a little on his shoulders. It’s like the pillar of the family. That makes it interesting for me to touch on that. There’s a lot of maturity, a lot of wisdom, but I think she needs to find herself in that, and then find the love that she’s looking for with her parents, her brothers and sisters. »

This will be the very first time that she will share the screen with actress Jade Charbonneau, who plays her younger daughter as well as Isabel Richer, in the role of her mother. The casting is impressive, since as the young woman told us, the resemblance between their features, once side by side, is striking.

Taking this new mandate seriously, Lili says she prepares by carefully reading all the scenes: “ It’s important for me to understand what’s happening, to understand the universe. Then after that, I’m going to do more introspection work on myself to find connections, then build a little more of Charlie’s universe in itself. I have information with the texts, but I still have to add my touch, then my color, while respecting what is already directed. »

One thing is certain, we have not finished hearing about this young woman, whose maturity is immanent and whose talent is undeniable.

Dumas will be broadcast next fall on ICI Télé.
