Beautiful - nice work
lovely pictures, what gear was used
Fuji FZ-6 with Fujifilm 400. Thank you!
I thought i was looking at a mosaic for a second.
Beautiful, I love this shot!
Need to bump up the exposure a bit. The bright sunlight on the photos is skewing your camera's light meter and resulting in underexposure.
Thanks, it's a fixed settings point and shoot with no light meter. The only options are aperture 9.5 or 13.5. I knew going in the scene would be too dark but I thought the light coming through the Q tracks above would be enough to create a stark contrast, and it was. It did come out underexposed but I loved the result anyway. The lighting at that station at this time of year at around 2-3 PM is fabulous.
This is one of those situations where a camera with full manual control is needed.
Point and shoots are designed to be shot in average exposure situations and this scene in the station is not one of those average situations.
I completely disagree with that.
I'm with you. Sure, P&S are meant for more balanced light, but I wouldn't say a camera with manual control is "needed" for something like this. It still made a nice photo that's interesting to look at.
I did get a properly exposed shot of the scene with my phone but it doesn't have even close to the same vibe.
Looks like a painting damm dude that is pretty shot!
this station is always so sketchy. police station is around the corner but the walk outside the station, especially on the end with no toll agent, is straight out of a 1980s crime movie
It feels so liminal. Your only options are a street that gets completely flooded every time it rains, no sidewalk, under a pretty low track, or a long walkway fenced off by a parking lot on one side and a suspiciously neverending construction zone on the other.
The lighting is awesome. Great composition
