RCB vs CSK Controversy

The RCB vs CSK turned out to be a memorable encounter in the IPL 2024 season. CSK needed just 17 to qualify for the playoffs in the final over, even if that came at the cost of losing the game, with the target being 35 from the final 6 balls. However, the trio of MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja and Shardul Thakur, who batted the 6 balls failed to hit Yash Dayal for boundaries. Dayal gave away just 7 runs in the final over and clinched an incredible win for the RCB side.

After the match, MS Dhoni waited for the RCB players to come and shake hands with the team, but left after seeing that the side was busy celebrating. The fans were divided over the incident and some even criticised RCB players for not showing enough respect to the former India captain.

RCB will now face RR in the Eliminator of the tournament.
