NEW DELHI: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) completed their remarkable comeback in the IPL season, securing a playoff spot with a 27-run victory over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Bengaluru. RCB's win pushed them into fourth place with 14 points from seven wins and seven losses, while CSK, also with seven wins and seven losses, dropped to fifth due to a lower net run rate.
Chasing 219 for victory and needing to score at least 201 to qualify for the playoffs, CSK got off to a disastrous start as skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad was dismissed for a golden duck by Glenn Maxwell on the first ball of the innings.
