Wiener Neustadt: Street Art Festival on May 17th and 18th

The popular Lower Austria Street Art Festival will transform Wiener Neustädter city center into a large stage on May 17th and 18th.

A colorful program awaits visitors. From Akrobatik, artistry, fire to music, comedy, magic to games and fun. Well-known artists and brilliant shows offer a Outdoor fun of a very special kind. On May 18th there will also be... St. Peter an der Barr Museum Discover three exhibitions with free admission as part of the museum spring. “On the way to becoming the cultural hotspot of southern Lower Austria, we particularly rely on our tried and tested classics, which have already thrilled several thousand visitors in the past. The festival impresses with its creativity, impresses with artistic skills of international quality and also provides a strong cultural and economic impulse for our city center. We look forward to many visitors on this cultural weekend and invite you to experience our city center in all its colors and facets,” said the mayor Klaus Schneeberger, City Councilor for Culture Franz Piribauer and City Councilor Erika Buchinger.

About the program

On Friday, the colorful street.art.parade of artists moves from the city theater to the Marienmarkt. The City Council for Culture will then open the event Franz Piribauer the festival on the main square, surrounded by performances by the Danceadora ballet school and the MÄX Dance Crew. On Saturday there are eight venues on the main square and in the three pedestrian zones spectacular performances and a varied children's program to take part in.

From acts to regional acts to side acts

Also there: Andy Snatch with his British comedy circus show; Creme & Brulè with a breathtaking fire and clown show; the Duo X Caso with a mixture of circus, Theater and humor; Unicycling world champion Janna, Pancho Libre with his Mexican acrobatic performance and the Soul Project to breakdance rhythms. Plus that Regional Acts Ortner4Dance and the mimes Lemour. The side acts include the stilt walkers “The Weird Birds”, the mirrored walking act “Mirror Man” and there is also music from the “Perlen on the Rocks”. To the Children's wards Juggling courses await at Circus Stoffl; Face painting with Birgit Dissauer (Funny Faces); the Skate4fun skate school and the classic children's carousel.
