Memorizing God’s Word: Matthew 5:16   In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 127: 1-2 Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain. In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat—for he grants sleep to those he loves.

Praying God’s Word:   Lord, these verses remind me that hard work to merely provide food and clothing for myself and family, is in vain.  The American dream of working hard and late that will bring “success” is futile without trusting God and having His blessing on my work.  Lord, grant me rest knowing that you approve of my labor.
