Soice, Lois Audrey Cooper Age 94, passed away May 5, 2024 after battling Alzheimer's for many years. Born in Bemidji, MN Lois and her husband lived and raised their family in North St. Paul. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Loren; parents, Howard and Amanda Cooper; and sister, Lily Guck. Survived by her daughters, Lynn (Don) Hultstrand and Lisa (Jay) Deverell; grandchildren, Ryan (Ann), Jack, Kelsey and Tommy; great grandchildren Jordan and Tori; niece Wendy. Lois graduated from Humboldt HS, then worked at US Steel. She met Loren on a blind date and their love story and friendship began. She left work to raise her family; later she joined Lutheran Brotherhood working for many years as a highly respected and appreciated executive assistant. Lois had a green thumb and loved gardening. The yard was alive with color from her many beautifully cared-for gardens; the grass manicured. She had a sweet tooth, but stayed fit nonetheless. She was a talented cook, loved traveling and camping with her family - particularly in the mountains, walking outdoors, and going for rides in the car. She enjoyed many hours caring for her grandchildren and never wanted to miss any of their many sporting events. Lois was a role model for her daughters, exhibiting strength, love, and unselfishness. She guided her daughters and grandchildren on the importance of education and hard work. Lois was a consummate wife, mother, and grandma. Her family was her priority. We will forever love and miss her. Her 68 year marriage to Loren was cut short in December 2023 with Loren's passing; she missed him deeply. There is solace that they are together again, holding hands - no Alzheimers. We are thankful for the care Lois received in the last days from Ecumen hospice and several loving providers from Lakeview Commons. A visitation to celebrate Lois' life will be held at Wulff Woodbury Funeral Home, 2195 Woodlane Drive, on May 23 at 10 AM followed by a memorial service at 11:30. A private family interment will be held at Fort Snelling. Wulff Funeral Home 651-776-1555 WulffFuneralHome.com
