AC Milan moved a step closer to guaranteeing second place in Serie A with a 5-1 thrashing of Cagliari in Matchday 36 at the Stadio San Siro.
The Rossoneri took the lead through Ismael Bennacer on the half hour mark, but were rampant in the second period. Christian Pulisic capped off a slick move with a fine finish, and whilst Nahitan Nandez halved the deficit soon after it was all Milan from then on.
Tijjani Reijnders extended the lead and substitute Rafael Leao added a stunning fourth goal, before Pulisic added gloss to the score line late on with his second of the night.
Victory sees Milan move seven points clear of Bologna in third, whilst Cagliari remain 15th but are only three points clear of the relegation zone.
