Edward G. Brey OBITUARY

Edward G. Brey, 98, of Fountain Hill, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 9, 2024,while in the care of Moravian Village. He was the loving husband of the late Althea M. (Brown) Brey, with whom he shared over 76 years of loving marriage until her passing in on January 10, 2023. Born in Packerton, he was the son of the late Edward H. and Edith (Mertz) Brey. Edward was a graduate of Allentown High School. He honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps during WWII. He worked as a draftsman for the Bethlehem Steel for most of his life until retiring. Edward was a faithful member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, Allentown, and a member of the Fountain Hill American Legion.

SURVIVORS: He will be lovingly remembered by his brother, Harry Brey, nephews Nick Ampietro and his wife Patty, Dan and his wife Virginia, Scott Brey, and his wife Laurie, hisniece Tione Kalafian and her husband Mick. Edward was preceded in death by his sister Elizabeth Ampietro.

SERVICES: A Funeral Service will be held at 10 A.M. on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at the Cantelmi Funeral Home, 1311 Broadway Fountain Hill, PA 18015 where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9 A.M. until time of the service. Burial with Military honors will follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park. A memory tribute may be placed at www.cantelmifuneralhome.com.
