The dates for the upcoming summer transfer window and the 2025 winter window have been confirmed by the Premier League.

With the Premier League season coming to an end on Sunday, followed by the FA Cup final, we then have a summer of action with the European Championship to follow.

However, attention will quickly turn to action in the transfer market when the Premier League season comes to a close on Sunday evening.

As always there will be plenty of moves made in the English top flight, with new managers coming in at the likes of Liverpool and West Ham, who are bound to want to make a splash in the transfer market as they arrive.

Promoted sides Leicester City and Ipswich Town are also sure to look to strengthen their squads as they return to the Premier League.

When does the Premier League summer transfer window open?

The summer window opens on Friday 14 June, the same day Euro 2024 gets underway with Germany hosting Scotland.

When does the Premier League summer transfer window close?

The window closes at 11pm UK time on Friday 30 August, which is 13 days after the Premier League season begins.

When is the 2025 Premier League winter transfer window?

The transfer window reopens on Wednesday 1 January 2025 and closes on Monday 3 February at 11pm UK time.

Windows in the Football League, Germany, Italy, Spain and France will close at the same time, with the Premier League stating: ‘To ensure harmonisation with the major leagues in Europe, the closing dates were set following discussions with the EFL, DFL, Serie A, LaLiga, and LFP, who will all close their Summer and Winter windows on 30 August and 3 February respectively.’
