Scott Allan LaVigne

IRON MOUNTAIN — Scott Allan LaVigne passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, too soon after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by many of his loved ones. He was born in Iron Mountain on Nov. 15, 1969, to parents, the late Peter Rudolph LaVigne and the late Marie Ann Hicks.

Scott lived in Horn Lake, Miss., and was employed by Amazon. He loved his work there and was proud to be a part of their organization. Scott’s favorite hobbies included coin collecting — which he was very good at — and watching Nascar and football. He loved the Green Bay Packers.

Scott is survived by his sister, Brenda Mlinar (Joe Mlinar), sister, Twyla Zeman, brother, Brian LaVigne, sister, Tiana Prince (Andrew Prince), his twin brother, Stephen LaVigne, and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, including a very special cousin, Shannon Lodholz.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Gardiepy, his parents, his grandparents, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family would like to thank Amazon for their unending support of Scott through his battle with cancer. You were amazing and he truly appreciated it, and the incredible team at MEM3 that was there for him every step of the way.

Thank you to the doctors and nurses at West Cancer Center and Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., for your care and support.

And a great big thank you to the Generations Hospice Team of Appleton, Wis., that were so amazing with both Scott and our family through this difficult time, it was very much appreciated.

There will be a Celebration of Life for Scott from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at City Park in Iron Mountain. Family and Friends are kindly invited to attend.

Please bring your fondest memories of Scott to share with family and friends.
