There’s a rodent in my home

General Question

Sooo i moved into this little house in the country. Things have been fine , except last summer i was making pizza in the oven and there was this god awful smell. Well i looked closer and realized there was a literal mouse underneath the baking element getting cooked. DISGUSTING. So i was so grossed out i got a whole new oven and called it a day. Well here we are this spring im seeing little droppings on my counter in the kitchen… i don’t ever hear or see it. but i know its somewhere in the house and it likes to drop shit on my kitchen counters which is disgusting. It’s so sneaky , if i didn’t see the droppings i wouldn’t even know it’s here. So what is the best way to catch a mouse?? i’ve literally thought about setting up a camera in the kitchen to see where its roaming at and to set up a trap. But yeah let me know. If there’s somewhere else i should post this lmk.

Victor power kill traps baited with peanut butter 🐀 Poison kills them, but they stink terribly as they decompose. Glue traps are effective, but traps are usually a quick and humane death
