The iQOO Z9x has officially launched in India today, per schedule. The Z9x is a watered-down Z9 and packs a bunch of high-end specs including a fast 120Hz display and large 6,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging. The iQOO Z9x also has dual speakers and a headphone jack along with a chassis which is IP64 rated. The phone in question has a startling price of Rs 12,999 and comes in a choice of green and gray colours.

The iQOO Z9x starts at Rs 12,999 for the base variant with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It comes in two other memory configurations— 6GB/128GB for Rs 14,499 and 8GB/128GB for Rs 15,999. General availability is pegged for May 21, 2024 across Amazon and iQOO e-store.

The iQOO Z9x has a 6.72-inch LCD display with a 1080p resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The panel can top 1,000 nits, iQOO claims, and has a hole punch cut-out at the centre. Biometrics are handled by a side-mounted fingerprint reader.
Under the hood, the iQOO Z9x has a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS2.2 storage. Running the show is Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14 with iQOO promising two major OS and up to three years of security updates. Powering the package is a 5,000mAh battery with 44W fast charging support.
For photography, the iQOO Z9x has a dual camera setup on the rear headlined by a 50-megapixel primary sensor. It is capable of recording 4K videos at 30fps (though this is only available on the 8GB RAM variant). Joining it is another 2-megapixel portrait camera. On the front, it has an 8-megapixel camera for selfies.
The iQOO Z9x has a plastic back and a plastic frame. The phone weighs 199g and measures 7.99 mm. IP64 dust and water resistance is available. Connectivity options include 5G, dual band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.1. The phone also bags dual speakers and a headphone jack.
