For things that are a little bit more wild, crazy, scary, terrifying and incredible than the average. And for stuff that is generally insane!
21-year-old fell into depression and decided to throw himself off the 15th floor. But he survived due to the fact that he fell on a parked car.

Fell into depression then fell into a car
he made one helluva depression.
I'm so depressed 😔
the car
Misery loves company.
Frustrated, Incorporated
Car was depressed, now is compressed.
Very impressive
Take my upvote. And my guilt for laughing.
His depression left an impression on that parked car.
He made one hell of an impression too.
sniff And pancakes were his favourite food.
The Depression, never heard of that model, must be Russian.
Deprussian
That would be German
And right smack dab in the center of the roof - a perfect 10. Nadia Comăneci couldn't have done better.
Mick Foley landing on the announcer table from the top of Hell in a Cell.
The value of that car has certainly depress-ciated
Now available in “compact” model.
Bro
Now car compressed
It's a pure miracle that his head didn't pop like a watermelon on impact
He was so fucking high up that is so sad
Dude even had a selfie stick!
yooooooooooollllllllllllllllllllllllllloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
That's the luggage rack on the roof of the car.
Why did he have a luggage rack?
I prefer to think he had a selfie stick ty
Windbreaker slowed him down maybe.
I'm going to hell..
Don’t forget your windbreaker.
The Wind didn’t stand a chance
The wind didn't stand a fucking chance.
this comment has me cry laughing after a 12 hour shift. thank you
God damn it...
That's fucking hilarious.
My buddy was fuckin around when we were in college and fell 3 stories onto a car hood. Was completely fine walked away laughing.
I guess cars make a decent landing zone
Well there's a good difference (more than double) in velocity at the impact point for 3 stories and a 15 one.
And the damage on the body may not be fatal but a head impact definitely is at these values. This dude is extremely lucky.
Well, if my plan was to kill myself, and instead I just managed to hurt myself and rack up new debt regarding a vehicle I totaled, I would not actually feel lucky.
I'd just feel more depressed that I couldn't even kill myself right, even after falling 15 stories on purpose. Like life wants to fuck with me.
You said the debt was for the car and not the hospital. Ergo, you are not from the U.S.
Probably more crumple zones to break your fall in the roof than on the hood though
I got hit by a car a while back, hard enough to fold the hood. It was like falling into a pillow.
Fun fact: most modern cars are designed to do almost exactly that. The body of the vehicle is strong enough to withstand impacts, but the panels are just weak enough to deform and distribute the force more evenly in the case of a crash.
That makes the difference between splattering on rigid concrete and denting a few pieces of plastic.
Just don’t aim for a cyber truck.
car crumpled to absorb some of the force, pavement doesnt do that
Survived-ish....
Dying light mechanics were more realistic than I thought
Just what I was thinking. The number of times I've seen this in a movie and thought it was bullshit, but here we are, turns out it's actually survivable.
I don't even understand how he's still alive and moving his hands at the end. That impact on the car still looked awful
The top of the car is a thin sheet of aluminum vs solid concrete with no give. Which, allowed the energy of his impact to be spread over a large area and it "gave way" thus slowing him down just a small enough amount (Time over distance). Its why modern cars have crumple zones, airbags, etc. The more time (regarless of how small of an increment) you can add to slow down before stopping over a larger area the less focused kinetic energy.
That the force of impact on his body overall was greatly reduced.
Crumple zones are not only to protect the person inside the car, they're also for pedestrians in case you hit someone.
If this guy fell into a 70s land barge like an old Cadillac he'd probably be a goner.
Also he fell kinda flat which has spread the force even further.
Not just that but also an entire suspension system designed to soften impact between the vehicle and the road.
Except you can't get up and run/do parkour after it happens RL
edit: maybe never again actually
Thought it was common knowledge
"One day I'm gonna do this and end up landing on a bag of rusty knives, I just know it"
Bro 💀😂
Aim for the bushes
There goes my hero...
"There wasn't even an awning in their direction"
Cops still argue to this day why Danson and Highsmith jumped. Maybe it was just pride, having survived so many brushes with death. Maybe their egos pushed ‘em off. I don’t know. But that shit was crazy.
Ahhh, thinkin what I'm thinkin I see
"America, stay out tha Bushes"
Jesse Jackson
Internal bleeding. Doubt he woke or will wake up the next morning.
Edit: Okay I'm dumb.
Likely this. He survived the initial impact, but with what kind of injuries?
Internal bleeding, broken bones, severe concussion, and that's just the things we can be sure he suffered without an examination.
Odds are he didn't last much longer after this video, and if he did, he's living with significant damage for the rest of his life.
He lived. It was in my city, so I managed to find some information. He broke his neck and several other bones, but he’s alive.

Damn, unlucky guy ... Not only he lived but broken neck mean he probably suffer for the rest of his life
I don't know. Maybe it'll make him reconsider the value of his own life? There's a documentary I haven't seen about people jumping from the Golden Gate bridge. Apparently every survivor tells the same story: the moment they jumped off, they regretted doing it.
Oddly enough i know 2 women that broke their necks and fully recovered within a year. Both were from car accidents.
Moral of the story, jump where there is no cars below
From the link:
"In Lviv, blogger-comedian Mykhailo Savlyak, who jumped out of a high-rise window on Friday, February 2, is recovering in the hospital. There is no threat to his life. He is currently in the intensive care unit of St. Panteleimon Hospital with multiple fractures.
This is reported by NTA.
"From the news: they diagnosed a fracture of the seventh cervical vertebra, a fracture of the radius of the left forearm, a fracture of the right and left tibia, left-sided tension pneumothorax, he is now in the intensive care unit," Mykhailo Savlyak wrote on his Telegram channel.
Also, the boy published a video from the hospital in which he is smiling.
Later, the moderator of the channel published another post in which she reported that Mykhailo's life is not in danger and he will walk."
He is very lucky. I hope that he gets the help that he needs.
My back cracks when turning in bed. I can imagine my spine shattering to dust watching this. Ouch

Redditors and wrongly assuming someone in a video dies, name a more iconic duo.
Do people think internal bleeding is just a game over like this is 1100?
He was awake at the end of the video, definitely gonna have a bad headache the next day
You really doubt modern medicines ability to treat internal bleeding a lot. As long as it's not in the brain and the organs haven't all ruptured it's pretty treatable.
He was clearly awake at the end of the video. Moving his arms and all
I have a friend who was just sitting in their care when a jumper landed on their hood dead
Were they already dead when they landed on the car, or did they die upon impact with the car?
Very very important question here
I'm assuming on impact
Well they weren’t dead when they jumped
Unless they were a Russian political opponent or a Boeing whistleblower. Then they might have been.
