The Brazilian striker insisted that challenging Makhachev served a strategic purpose beyond sheer bravado. He revealed that he beat Makhachev’s best sparring partner, someone Makhachev had hyped as a future welterweight king. Moreover, Ruffy also stated his wish to fight Bobby Green next. T

Since I beat his best sparring partner (Raimond Magomedaliev) in a higher weight class (170 pounds) on the Contender Series. I thought it was a good moment to make a statement… I would love to face Bobby Green because of the style matchup. He loves stand-up fights and I think it would be a war. And I could knock him out in the first round.

Ruffy remained grounded about climbing the ranks legitimately. He’s already got his sights on an exciting potential clash with UFC veteran Bobby Green. With his slick boxing, Green would provide a stiff test. But Ruffy fancies his chances of adding another highlight-reel knockout to his resume.
