Pads after delivery
I’m 2 weeks postpartum, had easy vaginal delivery and a 1 degree tear. Recovery was smooth but I still have light bleeding here and there. The problem is the constant wearing of pads is making me itchy and the skin is horridly irritated. Any suggestions of what you, ladies, use to survive these last few days? I’m hoping the bleeding will stop soon
I'm right there with you! I have a terrible rash from it all. I've been trying hydrocortisone cream which has helped some but I also had some extra Nystatin that I've been applying bc mines been going on since at least 1 week pp and it's still not improving
I find organic cotton pads to be the least irritating, and wiping with a damp cloth or using a bidet to help.
Honeypot pads!! They have a natural cooling effect and it’s so soothing
I found some post partum pads by Always at Target that aren't as enormous but are still more absorbent than your average liner. They are pretty soft too and much more comfy than the gigantic pads.
Cotton pads!! I had this too and was going nuts. There’s also monistat cream for itch and I’ve used that. I also haven’t stated using my scented body wash yet and just use an invented bacterial soap. There’s so much going on down there LOL
