Max is teaming up with Disney+ for a new bundle — what we know

All your favorite shows and movies in one convenient package

Disney+, already one of the most content-rich streaming services thanks to its wealth of classic shows and movies, recently got an upgrade thanks to Hulu content being integrated into its library. Now, Disney+ is getting another shakeup, as it will be bundled with Warner Brother’s Max. This announcement comes two months after Disney announced that it would be cracking down on password sharing; this means that it’s possible this bundle was created as a way to sweeten the Disney+ pot and entice viewers to retain their subscriptions even after password sharing is formally culled. Either way, we’re excited at seeing how this bundle shakes out. Here’s what we know so far.

What will the Disney+, Hulu, and Max streaming bundle include access to?

The Disney+, Hulu, and Max bundle will allow you to purchase the three streaming services for a cheaper price than you would if you bought each individually. Disney+ and Hulu have existing bundles — the Disney+ and Hulu bundles, and the Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ bundles. Since the bundle will include both Disney+ and Hulu, you’ll be able to watch Hulu content on Disney+ itself.

Disney+

Despite being one of the newer streaming platforms, Disney+ has already cemented itself as one of the most content-rich. On Disney+, you can watch Disney’s classic movies, the works of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Simpsons, Star Wars content, and much, much more. Other offerings include Taylor Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour and basketball sensation Caitlin Clark’s WNBA debut.

Hulu

Hulu is an older streaming service with tons of great shows to stream. From classic shows like It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Futurama, and Family Guy to new hot shows like The Bear and Abbott Elementary, Hulu is the place to be if you’re looking for variety. Hulu also features live television, making it a great option for those who want to watch the news, sports, and award shows. One of the hottest shows Hulu’s gotten in recent years is the historical drama, Shōgun.

Max

Formerly HBO Max, Max is about as old as Disney+, but it’s already made a name for itself thanks to its rights to some of the hottest movies and shows. It’s the home of 2023’s smash hit, Barbie, as well as popular shows like The Last of Us, Euphoria, and House of the Dragon.

How much will the Disney+, Hulu, and Max bundle cost?

There’s currently no word on how much the bundle will cost, but we can hazard a guess.

The Disney+ and Hulu duo bundle is $9.99 a month with ads or $19.99 without. The Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ trio bundle is $15.99 with ads or $25.99 without.

Disney+ and Hulu alone are $7.99 a month each for their ad-free plans while Disney+ and Hulu without ads are $13.99 and $17.99 a month, respectively.

With ads, Max is 9.99 a month. Without ads, it’s $15.99 a month.

Based on this, we guess that the new bundle may go for as low as $19.99 a month with ads or $39.99 without. If you don’t want to get your hopes up too much, you can add $5 to our estimate.

And if you get it wrong, we’ll treat you to some great deals. Kidding! We’d do that anyway.

When can we expect this streaming bundle to be available?

There’s currently no word on when the streaming bundle will be available. While it would be great for the bundle to roll out this summer, we’d imagine Disney would be more forthright with details if it was releasing so soon. Either way, we’d be surprised if the bundle isn’t released by the end of the year.
