He is survived by : his children, Charles Caldwell and Mary Leonard (Wade); his grandchildren, Gabrielle King and Michael Ridge Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Austen King and Jeremiah King. He is also survived by his family and friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 21st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church (8816 Chesapeake Ave, North Beach, MD 20714). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, May 21st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, May 21st 2024 at 1:45 PM at the MD Veterans Cemetery-Cheltenham (11301 Crain Hwy, Cheltenham, MD 20623).
