I have only been to a Lexus dealer with a Lexus twice (my cars were both old when bought, so only went in for recalls which is amazing that Lexus still offers them for really old cars). Every time I went there, they gave me a loaner. One of them they actually apologized that they could not give me a Lexus loaner because they ran out of them so they had to give me a brand new Camaro convertible...

Surprisingly, the only other people that have always given us a loaner, no matter why we brought the car for, was Hyundai...

These were voluntary recalls. With the GX it was the dashboard on the car having cracks which is an absurd thing to give a recall on for a 10+ years old car. I don't think anyone forced them to issue that recall. It was just good customer service.

people with lots of money dont come to the dealership bro
their ferrari is towed on a trailer being pulled by a truck.

from what I hear from someone I know who works at honda, they keep over 40 vehicles as loaners ever since the takata airbag recall, so if getting a loaner car is necessary for you to keep going to work, always buy honda

my experience with lexus was not so positive. we bought my mother a 2008 lexus IS250 many years ago it was slightly used. at 60k miles the key module inside the car stopped working, could not get into the vehicle. had to have it towed to the dealership, they did not offer a loaner but I doubt we asked. at 70k miles the alternator failed out of nowhere. extremely common issue I found out. at 90k miles started getting all kinds of weird traction control disabled problems. took me a few days to realize the coils packs had failed and the traction control was turning off because of misfires. The aluminum wheels started pitting so every winter the car would just loose air and i had to keep filling them and eventually replaced the wheels with used ones off ebay. yes, it was the cheapest lexus they make but toyota realibility certainly aint what it used to be.

Well yeah it's the loose air that just slips right out.

Wait, they have lots of money but still tow their Ferraris to the dealershio on a trailer instead of simply calling for a flatbed tow truck? Man, these rich people ARE weird AF.

no, my dude.
SAMs junkyard towing does not come to get your ferrari. the dealership has employees who are paid salaries to drive an F250 truck pulling an enclosed trailer with your car inside. They may drive hundreds of miles to drop someone's car off and then pick your car up and drive back. I know it is hard to imagine all the waste but not every town has a ferrari dealership. I have personally not seen mclaren owners drive to the dealership either except hoovie.

There was a new-Cadillac display at Keels & Wheels. There was a light-blue Lyriq with a "$10,000 off MSRP" tag hanging from the rearview mirror.

This doesn't prove much unless you live right across the street from a McLaren $tealership and spend all day watching who drives in.

I, for example, have not personally seen Hyundai owner drive to the dealership, hoovie included.

You need to wear a tin foil hat in order to see them.

I was behind a Lyriq last night. At first I thought it was one of the really ugly Priuses, but it was a Lyriq. It has two batwing red taillights, and two Sedan De Ville style taillights. Funky.

I saw one a few days ago too. Took me a minute to even figure out what it was.

You know we are really enjoying the foil with the non-stick side. New thing. Game changer for roasting stuff in the oven.

I have no idea if this would make a good hat though. At least wouldn't cling to the hair product.

Right now is a good time to buy an electric vehicle for many, if they take advantage of certain brands with certain offers.

If not now, 12-18 months from now will probably be fantastic, with NACS ports coming online on non-Teslas, Hyundai/Kia EVs likely gaining tax credit eligibility by then, Teslas possibly dropping in price again, and meaningful tech improvements from all the brands in general. Things are really getting into their strides. I've really got my eye out for the next-gen Mini Cooper electric, that looks like a very good package if they held the pricing constant.

You can now pick up a relatively low-mileage Lucid Air Grand Touring for $75K.

Or a brand new RWD with less goodies for $69,999.
