At the top of the table is none other than KKR who have been led exceptionally by Shreyas Iyer. They had all their bases covered and put in performances throughout the XI. They are clearly the team to beat in the tournament and Sunil Narine's return to form has taken his batting to an all-time high combined with his consistent performances with the ball.

Sunrisers Hyderabad seem to be back to their best and have put their woes behind them at the right time. SRH, thanks to a spirited fifty from Abhishek Sharma, was able to chase down 215 with ease and will look towards the playoff berth as Pat Cummins eyes another trophy.

Rajasthan Royals, despite a good start to the tournament, found themselves third on the points table after losing four matches on the trot. Sanju Samson's team will now look to return to form in the Eliminator if they are to launch a title campaign. But with the lack of Jos Buttler and uncertainty among some other overseas players, it is going to be difficult for RR to turn things around.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru, after doing the impossible last night, moved up to fourth place in the points table to clinch the final playoff spot by beating Chennai Super Kings. Despite the odds being stacked against them, the Bengaluru-based unit managed to come together to put in a string of performances to take them to the next stage of the playoffs.

Punjab Kings finished ninth in the 2024 season. Their season was marked by changes with skipper Shikhar Dhawan missing the majority of matches due to a shoulder injury. Sam Curran was asked to be the skipper, but the team was unable to put in consistent performances. Shashank Singh was the standout player of the team along with Harshal Patel with the bat and ball respectively.
