Registration for CPET 2024 begins, apply on SAMS website

The Odisha Higher Education Department has opened the online application process for the Common Postgraduate Entrance Test (CPET) 2024. 

Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) at samsodisha.gov.in. 

The deadline for applications is May 27 at 11:45 PM.

This year, postgraduate admissions through the CPET examination will be conducted in three phases.

The first phase will include four rounds of selection. During the first two rounds, reservation and weightage criteria will be applied. 

In the third round, seats will be de-reserved if there are no eligible applicants from specific categories. The fourth and final round of Phase I will be a spot admission round.

According to the notification, applicants who are selected and secure admission during any round of the first phase, in any subject at any Higher Education Institution (HEI), will not be eligible to participate in the second and third phases of admissions. These subsequent rounds will be exclusively for students who were not selected in the first phase.

Important dates

• Last date to apply: May 27 (11:45 pm)

• Application form edit window: May 28 (10 am-11:45 pm)

• Submission of applicants data to State Selection Board (SSB): June 1

• Availability of admit cards on the website of the State Selection Board (SSB) (ssbodisha.ac.in) as well as on the SAMS website: June 22 (11 am onwards)

• Exam dates: July 3 to 14

• Handing over the entrance marks to OCAC by SSB, Odisha: July 20

• Updation of Graduation/Equivalent marks by the applicant: July 12 to July 20
