How do I copy an email address without opening the contact card?

Status: Pending Reply

I frequently look up account information by email address when reviewing an incoming email. To copy the email address (just the email address), Outlook forces me to open the contact card (this drives me nuts as I do this about 100 times a day). It creates extra steps for me as I then have to go back and close them all.

If I right click the email address, it copies the name and email address. I need just the email address.

How do I copy just the email address (so I can paste that in another system to look up) without opening the contact card?

I use outlook.live.com, formerly Hotmail, but it's now M365 on the web, but at the same time I have Mozilla Thunderbird installed as a pc email client,

if I want to copy an email address I copy it from Thunderbird and then paste it into Outlook,

I find Thunderbird easier for copying email addresses, viewing, searching and copying the full email header, reviewing what remote content an email contains,

I get more functionality and convenience using both in tandem.

It’s actually a work account/computer I use and it’s pretty regulated. So I can’t install additional software or anything (all that is blocked). I wish I could! But thank you for the answer!
