Discussion

Up late with racing wedding thoughts.. So, how do you prevent unwanted guests from popping up to the wedding who unfortunately already know when and where it’s being held?

Is there a guest list check off or someone in charge of taking names usually? I’m wondering how to approach that task for my wedding. I fear there may be some uninvited visitors and want to get ahead of what may happen.

These people have already expressed they will come despite being told they need an rsvp and we can’t add any more guests.

1/ Security checking off names (or ask people to bring their invitations for entry) 2/ Assigned seating (if you haven't rsvp'd there's no seat for you) 3/ warn your bridal party or family members ahead of time that you expect X&Y to crash so they can be on the lookout)

You should chat with your contact at the venue and see if they have any suggestions. They may either have the staff on the lookout, or know someone/a company you can hire to do so. Get pictures ready of the individuals to watch out for and have the bridal party on the lookout, as well. Good luck, make this everyone else’s problem because you shouldn’t be worried about it on your day.
