Former ‘Supernatural’ co-stars DJ Qualls and Ty Olsson reveal that they’re engaged

The two men are the third couple to meet on the show: Padalecki met his wife, Genevieve Cortese, when she appeared on the show, and Ruth Connell and Rob Benedict, who had a daughter this year, also met on the series.On Thursday, Olsson posted on X, formerly Twitter, “Thank you everyone for all the love and support and kindness today :) sending you all some love and hugs.”Qualls came out as gay in 2020.

Olsson was previously married twice, to his first wife, Leanna Nash, with whom he shares two daughters, and his second wife, Katherine Lohmeyer, whom he was married to from 2019 to 2021.

The couple said they met at a convention for the show, and they “didn’t know each other at all” before that. “We maybe said three words together at the Supernatural convention, and then we went to London for four or five days afterward,” Qualls said. “And then I was going to Turkey with a friend — and he is such a pure, awesome guy.
