Hi,
we have two nights planned for Geirangerfjord area.
Any recommendation where to look for a place to stay? Is Geiranger the best option?
When is this? And hotel or other accommodations?
Not really many alternatives. Have you looked at a map? Geiranger is in the end of a vey long fjord. There are mostly villages, a couple of hundred inhabitants. For the last 3 days in August
“ everything” is booked up for an event.
You are probably a bit late in planning , but try Geiranger.
Use Google Maps to easy see the offers
You need to be in the village itself if you are going to eat out. e.g if you stay at Grande then you will have to eat there as alternative if you want a drink with meal is a walk along the 'main' road with no footpath.
Accommodation is shown on GoogleMaps or use booking engine or AirBnB
Edited: 17 May 2024, 17:39It is not an area actually, just Geiranger village with several hotels, but the village is tiny. You stay in some other village such as Hellesylt, Eidsdal, Norddal, Valldal, Øye, Stryn.
In any case you dont need to focus on Geiranger. Geirangerfjord is nice but one of many fjords and Geiranger village is cramped. Be flexible.
