Even though the series’ main story is complete, The Quintessential Quintuplets franchise is still very much alive. Aside from an upcoming anime, The Quintessential Quintuplets’ two visual novels are also getting released officially in English next week.
Previously released in Japan back in March 2021 and June 2022 respectively, these two light novels are finally coming to fans outside of Japan with English subtitles.
While both light novels are summer getaways with plenty of fan service, the two have distinctly different premises.
First Quintessential Quintuplets Visual Novel Sees the Cast Stuck in a Private Island
The first visual novel is officially titled The Quintessential Quintuplets: Memories of a Quintessential Summer, and it was released shortly after the anime’s second season.
In this visual novel, Fuutarou Uesugi and his sister Raiha will join the Nakano siblings on a summer getaway at the quintuplets’ private island.
While it’s supposed to be a relaxing and fun vacation for only three days and two nights, things take a turn for the worse as a storm traps them for two weeks.
Essentially, the story becomes a castaway story as the Nakano siblings along with Fuutarou and Raiha will have to survive without much supplies.
Of course, this is still an overall lighthearted story, so fans shouldn’t expect something straight out of a survival movie. Instead, it will still feature plenty of scenarios featuring Fuutarou and his potential romantic interests.

Second Visual Novel ‘Five Memories Spent with You’ Is a Relaxed Island Vacation
Meanwhile, the second visual novel is titled The Quintessential Quintuplets: Five Memories Spent with You, and it was made to promote the 2022 film.
It’s another summer getaway, though this time, it’s a more relaxing affair as Ichika, Nino, Miku, Yotsuba, and Ichika go on a trip to Okinawa.
Take note that this isn't connected to the upcoming honeymoon anime as this trip is their graduation celebration.
They are joined again by Fuuaarou and Raiha. This time though, instead of survival, Fuutarou’s main goal is to kiss one of them.

The Quintessential Quintuplets Visual Novels Finally Get an English Release Date
These two visual novels will be released on May 23 on the PS4 and Switch. They will be released in the West only digitally, though there will be a Double Pack available that bundles the two games.
For this English version, there will be English subtitles, but the Japanese dub will be retained. Fans will be happy to know that the anime’s cast was retained for these visual novels.
