Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill. Not even a question.

Rest in peace, Kevin Conroy. You will be missed.

When the best Batman faces the best Joker, it is pretty obvious

Too bad we'll never hear this pairing again... 😭

Batman 89

Nicholson and Keaton are still the best for me. Hamil and Conroy are a close second.

TDK

Batman: Animated Series

Batman '89

you can keep the rest

I hope you’re grouping Mask of the Phantasm in with BTAS!

TDK followed up by Mask of the Phantasm.

growin up with West n Romero they'll alwayz have that special place in my heart :)

Look at the top, it's like West's Batman and Romero's Joker saw something terrifying. And it ain't them.

Yeah, I like The Dark Knight, Because Heath Ledger did a phenomenal job portraying a realistic Joker who only wants to watch the world burn.

No disrespect, he was great at acting—definitely a better actor than I am lol—but I wasn't impressed by his portrayal of the Joker. It's been around 16 years and I'm still not impressed. It was good, but imo not phenomenal. I think what made his portrayal "phenomenal" in the mind of so many is the fact that he died not long after playing such an iconic role. I actually remember people complaining about their cast choice for the Joker, how it didn't look like the Joker and all the usual stuff, even the usual, "he can't act" and "he plays every character the same way" they throw around when people are annoyed at a particular actor being cast—he dies in January 2008, and suddenly everyone seems to be the biggest Heath Ledger fan and he is somehow the best Joker before the movie even comes out. I don't mean to be insensitive. It's awful he died, but his Joker is memorable because of Heath's death. This is something we tend to do, we romanticise the dead.

The physical degradation of joker is driving me insane. Give him green hair and bleached skin. Why does he have to look so sloppy and gross in every modern iteration?

This. I hate the hobo Joker look so damn much.

u/DKnott82 avatar

Leto went full-on 90's Marilyn Manson.

Batman’s gonna beat the shit out of him anyway. He’ll get all bloody and messed up. Just be patient and start with the classic look. Have him get more frazzled as the movie goes on.

See that's fine but I prefer the dichotomy where The Joker is dapper and well presented vs Batman's more grim image.

Ah, yes, the iconic 2 minute scene that didn't even make the cut of The Batman and can only be viewed on YouTube. Yes, that definitely deserves to be included as a candidate because people are definitely going to vote for it

Heath's Joker was the only one that impressed me, he was one that wasn't a villain of the week but a force of nature. He brought the mob and the city to their knees in a realistic, but cheap manner. The ending was a little contrived but seeing him go from zero to crime lord was impressive

Heath ledger was the best joker hands down

u/Barchar75 avatar

All of them, but Leto's Joker played off there respective Batmen well

Kevin and Mark Christian and Heath Michael and Jack Ben and Jared

That's my list 😁

u/can_a_dude_a_taco avatar

my favorite is adam and ceaser

u/MasterMainu avatar

Nicholson and Keaton are fav till now, from this list only. Tho eagerly keen on Pattinsons Joker.

u/MulberryEastern5010 avatar

Keaton & Nicholson

Missing the Lego Batman Movie Batman & Joker

Jared leto should never even glanced the joker

Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill will always be my all time favorite hands. But I'm very curious on how the 2022 version of them are gonna work out in the next movie. I thought Robert Pattinson did an incredible job playing the role of batman and how Paul Dano just really made the riddler so crazy and even kinda scary in a wierd way. So I really can't to see how that batman and joker does.

u/Best_Fan8392 avatar

That's the Joker in Snyder's JL? Sweet Jesus.........

Keaton/Nicholson. It made me the Batman fan I am today.

Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamil all the way.

I like that Leto joker. Shame it was only for a deleted cut scene. Would have been cool to explore that.

same.

You missed the best one: THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE

From simple to typical Hollywood over complicated, mess

u/Movieking985 avatar

Leto shouldn't even be on the list...his iteration was horrible and this 2 min clip from jl isn't enough to redeem him (which is what they were trying to do to a small degree hence the long hair and less post Malone wanna be a gangster look...he added nothing important to suicide squad and comes off as silly not scary at all ...Ledger on the other hand would scare the crap out of you in real life if that version existed in the real world.

I'll still say Conroy and Hamil are the definitive ultimate versions of the characters truest to they're respective characters for the evolution they've made or become over time.

u/RYTHEMOPARGUY avatar

It's Kevin Conroy and Mark Hammil. Everything they've been in together has been great, and you can tell they genuinely understand and care about the portrayal of the characters

Zack Snyder Justice League B V R

Why send a boy wonder to do a Mans job. How about a Truce, Bruce.

No question: Kevin Conroy vs Mark Hamill

89,the animated series, and dark knight have been the best

All is good

u/TCCKHorror avatar

Batman 1989. Perfection.

That's easy for me! Without a doubt the Michael Keaton/ Jack Nicholson Duo in the movie and the West/ Romero Duo in the TV show.

The Dark Knight was the only one that was true and accurate, meanwhile Dceu was garbage

u/Commercial-Crow-1295 avatar

come on bro that scene in zsjl with batfleck and leto was pretty dope

Because Joker offered gay sex to Batman? 🤪

Yes
